Once you've harvested your first flush (flush = fancy fungi word for crop), remove any mushroom debris left on the block and let it rest for a week. Mushroom debris means any little mushrooms that didn't grow or any mushroom bits left on the block after harvest. Don't remove the white mycelium covering the block - this is what we want to regrow so it fruits more mushrooms!

If you see a second flush start by itself, start from step 2 on your instruction card. If not, remove the bag from the box and float the bag overnight in a bowl of water, cut side down. The next morning, drain any excess water out of the bag. Once it's drained out enough, put it back in the box and set it on the kitchen bench. The mushrooms will start pinning (growing) in around 7-14 days and within 7 days will be ready to pick again!

If you don't want to wait that long, you can try cutting an X on the other side of your kit immediately after fruiting your first harvest and grow from the other side.

Your second flush will take longer than the first and will be smaller. This is normal.

On average you can expect 2-3 flushes of mushrooms from our ready to grow mushroom kits.

Note: you don't need to soak Lion's Mane kits for additional flushes, just start from the other side straight away.
